What You’ll Need for Upcoming Online PE Courses

Just like you, NJSPE and the industry as a whole has had to adapt to these uncertain times. With that being said, we have rescheduled the March 18 Six Credit Seminar to be on April 30  presented as a live webinar!

This full-day live webinar will be presented on Zoom and offer 6 PDHs within 3 lecture sessions. These credits can be used toward this year’s PE license renewal requirements. The deadline to renew your license has been extended until May 30, so you have more time to fulfill your credit requirements!

A full-day online continuing education event is something that is new to everyone. We’d like to make this as simple as possible to access and engage with so you can get the most out of the event and the information being provided to you. Below you’ll find the items you need and what you need to know for the event before beginning the webinar.

Items you’ll need

  • A computer with a working microphone and camera
  • Zoom desktop/tablet application (strongly recommended but not required)
  • Your webinar access link (emailed to you 1-2 days before the event)
  • Paper/pen to take notes

What you need to know for the upcoming PE course

With Zoom webinars, attendees have a similar experience of attending a seminar in person. You’ll be able to virtually raise your hand to ask questions using controls within Zoom and you’ll have the opportunity to engage with other attendees and speakers using the chat feature.

Once you receive your access link, we encourage you to click on the link to ensure that you can log on and access the webinar. You do not need to create a Zoom account to join the webinar! You will be able to log on using just the link provided in the email. This will open the zoom.us website where you will likely be prompted to download the Zoom app. Downloading the Zoom app for the webinar is highly recommended and preferred for the best viewing experience!

In the Zoom app, you’ll have access to the full range of controls: Audio Settings*, Mute/Unmute, Chat, Raise Hand, Question & Answer, and Leave Meeting.

*audio settings may or may not be visible for attendees based on whether or not the host has granted permission for attendees to contribute feedback/questions.

If you have any questions about the event, please contact jlombardi@njpsi.com

While the future is still uncertain and new developments with COVID-19 are happening every day, NJSPE will continue to keep members and licensees informed with important updates and information about upcoming PE courses. We hope you are all staying home and staying safe and healthy!
