The New Jersey Society of Professional Engineers Educational Foundation held the 51st annual Engineering Career Day on Wednesday, March 20, 2019 at the Science & Engineering Resource Center at the Rutgers College of Engineering on the Busch Campus in Piscataway, New Jersey.
We organize Engineering Career Day as a public service to high school students to introduce them to career opportunities available in engineering. This program is supported by corporate sponsors, public authorities, local colleges and universities. This program is very beneficial to students, especially Juniors, at a time when they are making career decisions, particularly as they relate to the selection of a college and their area of study.
For your students to benefit from this experience, those selected from your school should have the qualifications for pursuing an engineering program and an interest in learning more about the opportunities of an engineering career. With increasing emphasis on STEM educational initiatives, this field trip would be an excellent extension for additional engineering information for qualified students.
If your school does not attend this year, we hope to see your high school next year! Please reach out to us for more information: Mark Rohmeyer, P.E. firstname.lastname@example.org
